What is ayurvedic yoga massage?

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a combination of oil massage, deep tissue, walking massage, passive yoga stretching and breath work.

This unique massage style was developed by Master Kusum Modak in Pune, India who combined her knowledge of traditional Ayurvedic massage and B.K.S Iyengar influenced yoga stretching to create Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

This treatment is suitable for anybody and everybody. Caz will meet you where you are. Your first session will always begin with a consultation. What to expect

You’ll be guided into circular breath to drop you into a deeper state of relaxation. Massage begins, using both oil and Calamus root powder to heat the muscles quickly. Deep rhythmic massage and breath combine to help release tension and stagnation in the body. Using listening touch, some passive stretches and joint mobilisations will be integrated into the massage to open up your body. Walking massage using the feet on the back body will be used for even deeper work.

During the treatment a draping technique will be used to cover the body, so that you feel safe throughout.

This treatment releases physical and emotional blockages, and brings your awareness from the mind and into body.
