my story

I’m a yoga teacher, bodyworker and sound healer. My work is that of a guide, taking you into your body, and supporting you to move through whatever’s there. Using movement, touch, and sound, I invite clients and students into a deep inner listening.  I specialise in chronic pain and support clients through various pain conditions, as well as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and the many other chronic health conditions.

My relationship with the body began as a kid and studying dance and theatre into my teenage years. As a young adult my movement practice took place solely at raves and on sweaty dance floors all over the world. These hedonistic days slowly left me looking for something more. I wanted a different way to experience the euphoria that until then I’d only found on the dance floor.

Finding yoga in my mid-twenties, this became a way to balance out the stress of my hectic lifestyle. Over time, my love of yoga eventually led me to travel India. After the sudden death of my mum and the huge grief journey that then unfolded, I made my way back to India, the heart of the world. I sat in the peaceful silence of Ashrams in the Himalayas, and this closeness to immortality was having a profound effect on me. It catapulted me into deep spiritual practice. I went on to complete my 200 hr training in 2016, and became an ashtanga yoga teacher. Massage had always been a transformative healing modality for me, and so I also trained at this time as an ayurvedic yoga massage therapist.

Fast forward several years, I now work as a bodyworker, and a yoga and embodiment facilitator, based in East London. I support my clients through all stages of their lives. I offer a held space to move through all the shit that life throws, to help you ride the highs and the lows.

forever a student

I’ve completed many yoga trainings since completing my first 200 hours in the Himalayas in 2016, including yin yoga with Sarah Lo, and yoga like water with Dan Peppiatt. I trained in yoga and mindfulness for post-traumatic stress disorder, and yoga for mental health, with The Minded Institute. I’m currently in the process of my 300 hour training with Satu Tuomela and Authentic Flow Tribe, and in September 2023, I completed my 100 hour training advanced embodied yin, somatic yoga nidra, and qi gong.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is an important part of my offering. I first experienced the power of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) in 2015, I think qualifies in this art form with Mogu School, and later completed further trainings in AYM with my incredible teacher, mentor, and friend Purnima Bodywork

I have also completed the year-long Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy training with JING School of Massage - in a biopsychosocial approach to healing that fuses Eastern and Western teachings, with a focus on freeing you from pain.

As well as completing many continued education workshops with the likes of Cyndi Lee (a Buddhist approach to mindfulness meditation), and with Jo Phee, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers (all pioneering teachers of yin yoga), I commit to studying my field through constant reading and self-study, and most importantly, self-practice!
